I was halfway through “Never Forget” when it finally dawned on me that what makes The Divide great is the timelessness of its premise. The Divide could be in any time period, really. The relationship and banter between Rosa and Rylance has a His Girl Friday quality to it (that 1940s classic also has a plot involving a man on death row). Meanwhile, Adam’s quest for justice and a little redemption harkens back to the social activist films of the ’60s and ’70s. But what really gets me excited are the elements of film noir episode 4 introduces; the only things missing are rampant cigarette smoke and black-and-white cinematography (I really love film noir, in case you can’t tell). Much more mystery is introduced here, and we finally get confirmation that this city is full of hidden secrets lurking in the shadows that even those at a higher level don’t know about.
It’s qualities like these that make for great television. The Divide is on its way.

EW review of The Divide’s 4th episode (x)

Now they need ratings.

It’s official. Kelly Rowland is expecting a baby boy!

During an interview with FOX411, the pregnant singer accidentally spilled the beans on the sex of her baby-to-be.

"We’re very excited," the 33-year-old said. "So far, everything has been good. I just feel like the baby is already [spoiled] rotten–like literally, my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys. It’s just so cool."

Realizing she’d dropped a very specific pronoun, Rowland revealed, “It, it’s…aw, f—k it! It’s a boy. It’s a boy!”

Kerry on Kimmel tonight.
Now… I will avoid commenting on the fashion (no… JUST NO) and focus on um… HAND accessories. Or lack thereof.
Very funny and cute pose though. LOL.

She looks super cute! Bland & boring dress but cute look!

I wouldn’t call the dress either bland or boring, it’s a 70s print that does WAY too much. But yes she is super funny and cute.

I may like the dress.  I have to see the whole thing.

I like her dress, from what I can see.

She needs to get over the SEXLESS/BLAND/MOTHERHUBBARDSHITSHE HAS BEEN PLAYING…EMPHASIS ON PLAYING AT. It is not serving her.

I agree. That’s most certainly NOT an elegant dress that suits her. And it looks cheap, too. She has always done FAR better than this and needs to get back to that. One word: CHIFFON. CHIFFON IS YOUR FRIEND, Kerry. Makes even an ugly print like this one look better. But something that looks like a cheap poly/cotton blend? Doesn’t. And don’t misunderstand me, she is GORGEOUS. ALWAYS. DESPITE the really bad fashion choice. I’m merely talking about the dress, not her lovely self.

We are talking clothing not the woman. I do wish people would stop mistaking the two. We are talking the Walmart knockoff look. Not the woman personally. It is clear what she is playing at. Pas de glam. More so Suzie down the street that got a bargain bin discount. She needs to do better. Do not get me wrong. Fine and well for Suzie and the car pool down the street. Sure celeb killer this continuous look. Celebrities are ambitional in their looks marketing wise. This needs to stop. Sure, it goes over well with a particular set, but that set makes you no money and they don’t up your worth commercially.

SPOT ON! Marketing, image-wise and commercially too. She is beautiful. The dress is ugly. And the idea of selling this type of image… no. Get back to what you were doing last year, Kerry. MUCH better.

What gives???? I do not understand the turn of things since last year

On the morning of September 4, 1957, fifteen-year-old Dorothy Counts set out on a harrowing path toward Harding High, where-as the first African American to attend the all-white school – she was greeted by a jeering swarm of boys who spat, threw trash, and yelled epithets at her as she entered the building.

Charlotte Observer photographer Don Sturkey captured the ugly incident on film, and in the days that followed, the searing image appeared not just in the local paper but in newspapers around the world.

People everywhere were transfixed by the girl in the photograph who stood tall, her five-foot-ten-inch frame towering nobly above the mob that trailed her. There, in black and white, was evidence of the brutality of racism, a sinister force that had led children to torment another child while adults stood by. While the images display a lot of evils: prejudice, ignorance, racism, sexism, inequality, it also captures true strength, determination, courage and inspiration.

Here she is, age 70, still absolutely elegant and poised.

she deserves to be re-blogged.

this makes me want to cry

It is far more basic than that. White males, protecting white males. Real simple. Do you actually believe they will demonize another of themselves? Yeah…okay. Well said.
